ZiwiPeak

Peter and Kimberly Mitchell have always wanted the best for their beloved dogs and cats. They knew that our companion animals do best on a raw diet of real meat and organs, just like their ancestors caught and ate in the wild. So they decided to take the great animal protein sources we have in New Zealand; Venison, Lamb and Fish, and find a process that brought the convenience of dried foods to the nutritional excellence of raw foods.  They developed a gentle air-drying process that removes most of the water from meat, is all natural with no nasties added, and “ZiwiPeak” was born. The company’s aim is to ensure all of our pets are happy, healthy, full of energy and live a long life.

From that humble beginning we now have our main factory in Mount Maunganui, New Zealand where all of the air-dried product is produced. We have an office in the USA and sales staff talking directly to pet owners and the independent stores who stock our product and support our brand. We have our cans for USA and Canada produced under our supervision in the USA, made entirely from ingredients from New Zealand.  This gives us the ability and flexibility to quickly respond to customer orders in North America. We also sell in 19 other markets around the world in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. The air-dried product for these markets is produced at our Mount Maunganui factory, and our cans are produced under our supervision in a nearby cannery in New Zealand.

At ZiwiPeak it is all about our beloved pets.  The very best thing we can do for them is to feed them the food they thrive on, so we can enjoy each other’s companionship for as long as possible.ZiwiPeak  DOES NOT and NEVER HAS undertaken any form of caged or invasive animal testing or feeding. We are passionate about natural nutrition, and animal welfare, and we don’t agree with or condone this form of testing in any way. Any feeding trials we undertake are conducted with animal companions in a free feeding environment usually within the circle of the ZiwiPeak family of pets and pets of friends.
